Sioux City man arrested for reaching inside home and spraying teen's face with bug spray

41-year-old facing felony charge after incident Tuesday night

Sioux City, Iowa - A 41-year-old Sioux City man has been charged with a felony after authorities say he reached inside his neighbor's home and sprayed a teenage girl in the face with bug spray.

According to court documents, police were called out to a residence in the 1300 block of W. 4th street around 9:45 Tuesday night. When they arrived, the 16-year-old victim told police that Matthew Crain had reached inside her window and sprayed her in the face with bug spray. 

After being questioned by police, authorities say Crain admitted to spraying the girl du to an on-going neighbor issue. 

Crain has been charged with one count of 2nd Degree Burglary. He was booked into the Woodbury County Jail and released after posting a $10,000 bond. His next court date is scheduled for April 28th at 9:00 A.M.

Second Degree Burglary is a class "C" felony in the state of Iowa punishable by up to ten years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
