Rainy, Breezy, Cold

1-3" of Rain By Sunday Morning

May 18, 2017 - Another round of rain is coming as our next low pressure system crosses the upper Midwest, and this low will bring cold temperatures and breezy winds with it. So, it's going to be a chilly, often-wet Tulip Festival in Orange City this year.

By early Friday morning, rain will become widespread.

The rain will continue, off and on, through the day Friday, Friday night, Saturday, and possibly into Sunday.

A total of 1-2" of new rain will be common during this time frame, but isolated amounts closer to 3" will be possible!

Temperatures will be far below normal. Friday's high will be 49, almost 30° cooler than what we usually see in mid-May.

Saturday will be little different: Look for a high of 50.

Widely scattered showers and storms will also be seen Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of next week, but in these cases it will be dry more often than wet.

Highs will vary widely next week, from the upper 50s to the upper 70s, so be prepared for another wild ride from Mother Nature!

Stay dry, if you can!
