Police looking for missing Sioux City man

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Authorities are looking for a missing person and are asking the public to call with any information.

The Sioux City Police Department say that on Friday they received a report that James Jenson, 55, of Sioux City went missing.

Jensen is a white male with short gray hair, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and about 165 pounds.

They say Jensen suffers from severe depression and has a history of suicidal tendencies. He doesn't drive, being known to use the local cab system.

He was last seen using Siouxland Taxi to get a ride, being dropped off at the Walmart on Floyd Boulevard Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. They say he did not arrange for a return pickup which is uncommon for Jensen.

Some of Jensen's personal items were located near the Floyd River behind Pizza Ranch across from Walmart, the police said.

Sioux City Fire Rescue and the Police Department searched the banks along the river and water but did not find him.

If have seen Jensen or have any further information, please call Sioux City Police at 712-279-6960.
