Northeast Nebraska teachers retire after a combined 160 years in education

Four teachers from Hartington-Newcastle are moving on to retirement

HARTINGTON, Neb. - A group of Northeast Nebraska teachers from Hartington- Newcastle Public School is retiring after a combined roughly 160 years in education.

Included in that group is KCAU 9 news anchor Jenna Rehnstrom's dad, Dave Rehnstrom, who's been teaching 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Hartington-Newcastle for 41 years. Others retiring include Jerry and Kristi Bult and Sue Brodersen.

Jenna was able to go back to her alma mater for one of her dad's last days with students. Mr. "R" has taught some 800+ kids over the years.

We know all four teachers will very much be missed.
