Norfolk man arrested after striking building with truck and inhaling air duster in-front of a cop

Man second person to strike building while high on air duster since November

Norfolk, Neb. - A 34-year-old Norfolk man has been arrested after striking a building and huffing air duster in-front of police officers.

Authorities responded to the accident around 11 A.M. Wednesday morning to a business on the 400 block of E. Norfolk avenue. Witnesses on the scene told police that the driver was incoherent and possibly "huffing" and air duster can. Police found the man's pickup truck resting against the building and tried to make contact with the driver, who was identified as Nathan Larson.

Police say that Larson appeared to be in an altered state of mind and when officers were speaking with him he tried to hide a can of air duster after inhaling it in front of the responding officers. Authorities removed Larson from the vehicle and placed him under arrest.

At the end of their investigation Larson was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs - 3rd Offense, Tampering with Evidence, Obstructing a Police Officer, and Inhaling Certain Intoxicating Substance.

He's currently being held in the Madison County Jail.

This is the second time a driver who police believed to be high on air duster has struck a Norfolk business in the past two months. Back in November a 46-year-old Norfolk woman caused more than $15,000 in damage to a business after striking it with her car
