Cool start to Tulip Festival doesn't dampen spirits

Jenna Rehnstrom & the KCAU 9 team reports live from Orange City

ORANGE CITY, Iowa - It was a cool day to start off the 77th annual Orange City Tulip Festival, but event-goers and organizers didn't seem to mind.

Parade-goers bundled up to watch the ornate floats and talented bands march down the street. Serving as parade grand marshals this year: the Pressman-Koster Post 329 of the American Legion.

The three-day festival runs through Saturday with authentic Dutch costumes and dancing, Dutch food, many different varieties of tulips and entertainment. This year's Nigh Show is Shrek the Musical, performing nightly at 8pm.
