Wife faces murder charges for shooting husband

AKRON, Iowa - The Iowa State Medical Examiner provided new details about a Plymouth County murder case.

Newly released autopsy results say Jeremy Hebert, 40, of Akron died of shotgun wounds to the chest and abdomen.

His wife, Becky Hebert, 33, is charged with 2nd-Degree murder and faces an initial court appearance Friday.

Authorities say Jeremy Hebert was fatally shot last week by his wife during an argument at the couple's home on Evergreen Avenue in rural Akron.

That shooting taking place while the couple's children were also at home.

Authorities say there was a history of domestic disturbances at the couple's home and Jeremy Hebert had a violent criminal record
