Arrest made in 'Kum and Go' robberies

Devon Simmons, 18, is being charged with robbery in the 2nd degree

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - A South Sioux City teen has been arrested after a string of robberies of Siouxland Kum and Go's.

According to a press release from the Sioux City Police Department, officers responded overnight to calls of a gunpoint robbery at the South Sioux City 'Kum and Go.' 

Police received another report of a robbery at the 'Kum and Go' on Gordon Drive in Sioux City, . 

A few hours later, police were at the scene of the 'Kum and Go' on 19th and Hamilton, where they saw a man matching the suspect's description. 

Police were able to take the suspect into custody. 

Police say, Devon Simons,18, is being charged with robbery in the 2nd degree. He is being held at the Woodbury County Jail on a bond of $25,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 27.
